Pupils of Les Acàcies visiting Rastaala 11.-15.3.2024

In March Rastaala welcomed ten 6th grade pupils and three teachers from Escola Les Acàcies in Barcelona. Read more about the pupils' thoughts on Erasmus and pupil visits on this page. The participants have written everything by themselves in cooperation with the whole group using all three languages: English, Finnish and Spanish.  

- Me tykkäsimme luistella ja leikkiä lumessa.

It is an important learning opportunity for learning English and other cultures.

The school timings are so different

Las cosas en la escuela son muy diferentes.

Koulun aikataulut ovat erilaisia.

It is an experience to make new friends abroad.

Es una nueva experiencia hacer nuevos amigos de otro país

On hieno kokemus saada ystäviä ympäri maailmaa.

My experience in this travel is: I speak English in the house. It has helped me learn more English. I like that in the school go barefoot are comfortable. You can become friends with the family that welcomes you, especially the child, and learn about different traditions and the things they like. I think this is a great opportunity for the students and the teachers. All of us have had a nice time. It is privilege that we have this Erasmus-project. In this school.

not everyone enters at the same time, some enter at 8:15 am others at 9 am and the last at 10:15 am. The last ones enter when the first ones are already eating, if you enter before you leave before and if you enter later you leave later. We loved the school, especially the dining room, the food is delicious.

Minun kokemukseni tästä matkasta on, että puhun englantia isäntäperheissä ja se auttoi minua oppimaan lisää englannin kieltä. Pidän siitä, että koulussa mennään sukkasillaan, joka on mukavaa. Voit tulla kaveriksi isäntäperheen kanssa, joka toivottaa sinut tervetulleeksi, erityisesti perheen lapsen kanssa ja oppia erilaisia perinteitä ja asioita, joista he pitävät. Uskon, että tämä on hyvä mahdollisuus oppilaille ja opettajille. Kaikki me vietimme hauskaa yhdessä. On etuoikeus, että meillä on tämä Erasmus-projekti! Kaikki ei tule kouluun samaan aikaan, jotkut tulevat kello 8:15 ja muut yhdeksältä ja viimeiset kello 10:15. Viimeiset tulevat silloin kun ensimmäiset ovat jo syömässä, jos tulet kouluun aikaisemmin, lähdet aikaisemmin, jos tulet kouluun myöhemmin, lähdet myöhemmin. Me rakastimme koulua, erityisesti ruokalaa, lounas oli maukasta. 

Mi experiencia en este viaje es: que he podido hablar inglés en la casa y eso me ha ayudado a aprender más inglés.Me ha encantado que en el colegio los niños puedan ir descalzos, es más cómodo. Puedes hacerte muy amigo de la familia especialmente el niño, y aprender sobre sus diferentes tradiciones y cosas que le gustan. Es una muy buena oportunidad para los alumnos y los profesores. Es un privilegio para la escuela tener este proyecto Erasmus. En el colegio no todos entran a la misma hora, algunos entran a las 8:15 am otros a las 9 am y el último a las 10:15 am.Los últimos entran cuando los más pequeños ya están comiendo, hay 8 turnos para comer. Si entras antes sales antes y si entras después sales más tarde. Nos encantó la escuela, especialmente el comedor, la comida es deliciosa.

-We loved going down the ice slide.

Everybody has been excited. Kaikki ovat olleet innoissaan. Todos estaban muy emocionados.

Schools are really different. Koulut ovat hyvin erilaisia. La escuela es muy diferente.

School yard is not fenced off. Koulun piha ei ole aidattu. Aquí la escuela no tiene límites. 

There are no school books in Spain. Espanjassa ei käytetä koulukirjoja. En España no tenemos libros para las diferentes asignaturas.

Finland is colder. Suomi on kylmempi. En Finlandia hace más frío. 

In Spain students wear shoes in school and in Finland students wear socks. Espanjassa oppilaat käyttävät kenkiä koulussa ja Suomessa sukkia. En España los alumnos en las escuelas llevan zapatos, en cambio en Finlandia los alumnos llevan calcetines.

Espoo is full of forests and there is not a lot of city. Barcelona is full off big buildings. Espoo on täynnä metsiä. Barcelona on täynnä isoja rakennuksia. Espoo está cubierto de arboles y nieve y Barcelona está llena de edificios grandes.

Finland has mirrors in toilets. Suomen koulun vessoissa on peilit. En las escuelas de Finlandia los baños tienen espejos.

School starts at different times on different days. Koulu alkaa eri aikaan eri päivinä.  En Finlandia las escuelas comienzan  en horas diferentes.

In Finland the school lunch is earlier. Suomessa kouluruoka on aiemmin. En Finlandia la hora de comer es mucho antes que en España.
